Born as an orphan into the Home, Keith has grown up with an emptiness in his heart. He shares the view that Love is sacred, and easily out of his reach, just as parental love was something he had never been able to enjoy a taste of like the other children. Academically blessed, he had breezed through his daily mathematics and schoolwork, often winning envious stares from his peers. Girls were attracted to his calm and intelligent disposition.

But, his love interest had always been steadfast. Would a trip change it?

A childhood friend of Keith who had grown up in the Home as well. Tall, dark and lanky, Ian fitted perfectly into the modern definition of a hunk. True enough, girls flock to him like bees to honey. While not as intellectually blessed like Keith, he made up for it in the area of sports, especially sea sports. Ian was a true blue dive master and a dolphin in water.

He knew how much Sheryl liked him, but what were his reasons for holding back?

She's smart and intelligent, with an open and caring heart for volunteer work. Being part of the team to help out in Project Phuket, she had helped see through numerous rescue and reconstruction works done in the tsunamis-hit areas. When it was finally time for her reef conservation duties, she did well and volunteered to remain behind in Phuket to help out in the on-going research. Following Keith's instructions before his death to plan for the entire funeral, the event was filled with food, music and dotted with interludes to entertain the audience.

Before Keith's funeral, she had spent quite a lot of quality time with him, learning about one another and receiving his sincerest encouragements for her to embrace the possibility of walking once again.
